As we enter a new decade, a critical turning point in pop culture is imminent. Music and technology have merged, to become merely two sides of the same lemniscate, and it’s hard to understand where one ends and the other begins. However, while the music industry can be somewhat unpredictable, one thing is for certain, the cry for raw, intricate, and powerful instrumentation is back and stronger than ever.
Award-winning electric violinist, music producer, and DJ, Alfiya Glow, is the hat trick music fans have been waiting for.
Background
Alfiya began playing violin at the age five in her hometown of Sochi, Russia. It was clear from the start she had a natural talent for music, and a mere seven months after she first picked up the instrument, she performed a solo with the Sochi Symphony Orchestra. She continued honing her technique throughout her youth, and was chosen as one of a select few young musicians to study at the prestigious Secondary Special Music School – College. At only age 15, she made a crucial choice that would ultimately pave the way for other momentous choices to come: she chose music over everything else. She made the tough decision to move more than 1,200 miles alone to Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia, where she knew she could continue her training amongst the best. Her fearlessness paid off, as she went on to be recognized multiple times for her talent, winning numerous international and national violin competitions and touring extensively throughout Russia and Europe as concertmistress of the Chamber Student Orchestra for the Kazan State Conservatory.
While many musicians years beyond her would have cracked under such intense pressure, Alfiya flourished, quickly maturing to a level of professionalism and independence that would lay a solid foundation for her many pursuits to come. Though she garnered an astonishing amount of achievements as a youth, she was only just beginning to shine.
Education
At age 20, she decided once again to be bold and take a chance on herself and her music, and moved overseas to attend Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance in Philadelphia, PA. Her transoceanic move paid off, as she was awarded a full scholarship designated for musicians who showcase extraordinary ability. That same year, Alfiya was invited to be a distinguished member of the internationally celebrated iPalpiti Artists International Orchestra, where she had the chance to perform at world-renowned concert venues, including the Lincoln Center (New York City), Walt Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles), Carnegie Hall (New York City), and Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts (Philadelphia), among others.
While continuing her classical music education and working towards a masters degree, Alfiya was noticed by two well-known producers in the industry: Larry Gold, the string arranger for Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Lana Del Rey; and Kenny Lloyd, a sound engineer for Alicia Keys, Eminem, and other artists. Her collaborations with these producers on several major records for artists, including R. Kelly, Lana Del Rey, and Boyz II Men, ultimately propelled her expansion into new genres, namely pop, hip-hop, and EDM.
After graduating with her Master of Music Performance degree, she knew it was time to blossom into the artist we know now as Alfiya Glow by taking years of hard-earned talent and throwing herself into her true musical passion: electronic dance music. Combining her tried-and- tested talents as a female DJ, music producer, and electric violinist, she went on to release a number of original house music tracks, mashup and bootleg packs, and remixes.

Alfiya Glow’s tracks and arrangements have been spotlighted by top electronic music media outlets including GQ, Mixmag, DJ Mag, EDM.com, Magnetic Magazine, We Rave You, EDM Boutique, EDM Lead, and Raver Rafting, which named her original mix “Music Box” a Powerful Pick of the Week in 2015.
She also hosts her own globally syndicated radio show, Haus Glow, now airing on 35+ stations worldwide and reaching close to a quarter of a million listeners per episode. Each show features her signature melodic sound and highlights exclusive guest mixes from prominent artists including KSHMR, Laura Van Dam, Kream, Yves V, EDX, and more.
Alfiya has opened for international headliners such as Lisa Lashes, The Disco Fries, Michael Brun, Marcus Schossow, Sebjak, Kenneth G, Indian Summer, W&W, and Bassjackers. She has toured extensively across The United States and beyond, and joined the national Hyperglow Tour, known as
America’s Largest Touring EDM Glow Experience.
Notably, she has signed multiple original tracks with the esteemed Enormous Tunes label, home to Nora En Pure, and continues to receive support from industry leaders like EDX, Passenger 10, and Nora herself.
Beyond electronic production, another profound facet of Alfiya’s artistry lies in her devotion to creating music for meditation, healing, and deep connection with the Earth. Alfiya released a highly successful sample pack on Splice with her collaborator Luna Maye, titled Feminine Frequency, which held the number one spot for an extended period. Together, she and Luna Maye have composed and licensed immersive soundscapes for wellness platforms such as the FieldTrip app, and have performed in sacred, awe-inspiring locations, including the Teotihuacan Pyramid in Mexico, Amangiri Resort in Utah, and the Mill Valley Redwood Forest.

Festival Experience
Alfiya Glow’s festival debut came in June 2017 when she was selected to perform at the iconic Electric Forest, produced by Insomniac in Rothbury, Michigan. Initially booked through a contest, her set drew such an overwhelming crowd response that organizers invited her to perform an additional slot during the same weekend, a rare honor for a newcomer.
She was later invited to perform at the SXSW Future of Music Showcase in Austin, Texas, and returned to Electric Forest in 2019 for a Silent Disco takeover. These appearances cemented her presence in the festival world as a captivating blend of technical mastery and emotional expression.
Alfiya is also a featured artist with Symphony 21, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring and equipping young creatives to pursue careers in the arts.
In a standout moment, she joined Kygo on stage during his encore performance of “Firestone” at Palm Tree Music Festival in Dana Point, CA, further solidifying her place alongside global icons.
